Analyse economic impact
When campaigning for (public) budgets, organisations for science and education face a challenge to prove their impact. At some point, budget granted to your research, may imply the end of somebody else’s project. When economic impact of education and basic research lack clarity, investment decisions become difficult to defend. To clarify such matters, mATTch now offers a fact-based analysis on economic impacts of research, education and innovation. We use the BETA method, that includes the indirect economic effects that arise from learning, networking, marketing, and organisational upgrading. Examples are new customers obtained due to the reputation effect of ‘working with CERN’.
